Tomorrow, Thomas Alley must return to work. This makes me sad, but I am so very grateful that weve had these past two weeks to spend together getting to know our new little stranger and falling into the routine of parenting a newborn. Whether hes soothing a fussy Kes to sleep for me, or tending to her so I can get much needed rest, or cooking meals for me, or hand-feeding me while I breastfeed our baby, or tending to the household chores, or taking care of the teens electronic requests, or managing my medication, or keeping me calm through my obsessive paranoid thinking, or inspecting my incision to make sure its healing correctly, or holding me close through one of my daily sobbing spells, or laughing with me at the ridiculous faces Kes makes -- I could not have asked for a better partner & companion through all of this. Heres to even more of this crazy adventure through time and space together.
