Tomorrow at 3pm in Alfred Newman Recital Hall at USC, I’ll be - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow at 3pm in Alfred Newman Recital Hall at USC, I’ll be conducting the premiere of my five-movement piece, SHORT STORIES, for flute, clarinet, bassoon, violin, ‘cello, piano, and percussion. The piece is inspired by five of my favorite short stories written by Ray Bradbury, Kurt Vonnegut, Arthur C. Clarke, and Ted Chiang. It is (warning: excessive superlatives) my biggest, most ambitious, and most programmatic piece to date. I hope you can come, if for no other reason than to hear the fantastic USC Thornton musicians playing the piece!
