Tomorrow at 8am, I will run one of my hardest events yet. The Quadruple Dipsea Talk about stair stepping,......over 2600 of them!!! 28.4 miles The forecast is thunderstorms and 100% chance of rain!! and.........................Loving it!!! It begins in downtown Mill Valley with a climb up three flights of stairs as tall as a fifty-story building, and up some more through an old horse ranch to Windy Gap. Then it plunges down into Muir Woods across Redwood Creek and begins a tough grind up through the trees over trails named Dynamite and Cardiac. At the top of Cardiac, the course levels out before it plunges down through the Swoop, over the rocks and roots of Steep Ravine and the discouragingly steep climb up Insult Hill. Finally, the course follows a trail toward the ocean at Stinson Beach. Hydration at this point .........and then run back to Mill Valley. No,........not done yet!!!! Gotta do it all again.......one more time. Quadruple the fun!!!! Why????? Because.......to fund new cures and treatments for blood cancer. This disease is very, very, very painful.......but its not stopping me!! Today is Black Friday, and the gift you can give someone is the gift of life. Please help me in my quest to end this disease.
