Tomorrow is a full two weeks since I had my partial replacement. Let me tell you, I was in a ride. Still in it for that matter but things are going very well. I am on my feet and am able to walk without assistance around the house. I will use a cane for longer walks but that is only for just in case. I have about 80% movement in my right leg but it is still very weak. Pain level is low but will still get sharp jolts that make me say an expletive or two. Therapy is intense and is very painful but, its necessary and I do my best to grimace with a smile and not say anything nasty to my therapist. I didnt expect to go through withdrawals from the pain medication but that is happening. Only one prescription for the pain med and once it was over, Doc said no refills. Believe it or not, I have some tough withdrawal symptoms and that is the current battle. Next week I expect to be back at work and moving towards getting back to normalcy. Im using a stationary bike right now so I think one of the first things Ill do is get back on my bicycle, slowly at first but pushing 30 and 40 mile runs with hills soon. All is good, looking forward to the next couple of weeks.
