Tomorrow is my birthday! And it is my celebration of the positive changes I have made for myself. Exactly 8 months ago today, the man I loved and lived with for 15 years blindsided me and told me some really cruel things and that he was leaving me for someone who I thought was a friend. I thought it was the end of my life. But, it didnt take me too long to realize that his cruelty had nothing to do with me but was just an excuse for his actions. Granted, I was devastated for a few months but I used that shock to move forward and to make some positive changes for me. I joined a gym (and I like it!), lost 40 pounds (or 240 if I count losing him, yeah, like he wasnt fat) and find myself in a really fabulous new home and a great life ahead of me. I have always been an optimist and a roll with the flow type of person. Tomorrow is my 60th birthday and I am celebrating it with my daughter and later in the week with my other family. And that is what matters. Happy birthday to me!
