Tomorrow is the Festival of Lights. Among all the goodies n cookies, there will be Muruku. Be it homemade or store bought... Muruku is an all time favorite. Here is a simple n easy to follow recipe that you might want to give a try: 400gm Babas Iddiyapum Flour 70gm roasted Black Gram flour (ulunthu) 50gm butter/marjerine (melted) 1/3 tsp asoefetida powder 1/2 tsp salt 1tbs caraway seeds (omum) Some white sesame seeds Mix all dry ingredient in a bowl. Add in melted butter and mix throughly. Add in water to form a soft dough Use a muruku mould to shape the dough Deep fry on medium flame
