Tomorrow’s vote (Tuesday, August 19th) on Proposition 1 is the most important economic vote in the 42 years I’ve lived in Alaska. Voting “No” will keep our economy healthy, not only for us, but also for our children and grandchildren. Voting “Yes” will create these big problems for all of us. 1. Oil production will continue to decline. 2. Less Production will cause Alaska’s Permanent Fund to decline 3. Many of the jobs created since our current tax bill (SB 21) passed will be jeopardized. 4. Oil company investment will move away from Alaska. 5. The $45-$65 billion gas line, which will create thousands of jobs during construction and continuing operations, will be put on the back burner. Please Vote “No” tomorrow for our families, our future, and for Alaska.
