Tonight I had the opportunity to try an entrée that will soon be added to the menu at Kil@wat Milwaukee, the restaurant in the hotel in the building where I work, and it was a keeper. While the Pork Chop was good it was the sides that made the dish. The first was a sweet potato gnocchi – never had it before and OMG delicious. The second was a caramelized brussel sprouts salad with bacon. They unrolled the sprouts so it appeared like it was lettuce, again just wonderful and perhaps the first time in my entire life that I actually liked brussel sprouts. It was also good to see our Board President Jim Braza and his family enjoying dinner before heading off to our production of The Color Purple –Jim’s 4th time, now that’s commitment. I haven’t seen many of Jim’s family since we tailgated together a few years ago at Lambeau Field when they welcomed this Bears fan to their party. Chris VanAntwerp take note of these side dishes - you should try them if you havent already. Thanks Joyce Hanin for sharing the experience with me.
