Tonight I stopped by Wal-Mart to pick up a few items for dinner. After walking around the over-crowded store, I got in line to check out. There was a woman in front of me with a small child. I began to get a little irritated as her child ran around the register area. After a few moments the woman picked up her child and held her as she loaded her items in the shopping cart (as a mom myself I know what a difficult task this is). The lady finished checking out but she didnt leave the register area. I noticed the cashier was ringing up my items. I stopped her letting her know those items are mine, not the ladys in front of me. The woman then turned around and said to me... Im getting it, Merry Christmas. This time of year I tend to get caught up in the chaos.....Decorating, gifts, parties, etc. and forget the true meaning of CHRISTmas. Tonight God reminded me. I dont know who this woman was but she is a true blessing! I thanked her for purchasing my food, but she did so much more for me tonight. Her thoughtfulness to a complete stranger reminded me its not about shopping, trees, parties or gifts. Its about Christ and letting Christ shine in us to draw others closer to him. I had forgotten this. I hope I can pay it forward and bless someone as she has done for me. #truemeaningofchristmas #blessedbyastranger #payitforward
