Tonight I voted in support of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act which invests in job training and bolsters U.S. competitiveness, and also passed with strong bipartisan support. In light of this bill passing, I’m proud to announce my involvement in a new working group on workforce development. This group aims to advance training for the development of a workforce that will be prepared to take on the jobs of the 21st century and make our workforce competitive in a global economy. We will meet with key stakeholders in a variety of industries to build the strongest policy and improve our workforce training system.
