Tonight, I watched Jobs, the story of Apple Computers creator, Steve Jobs, played by the eerily and unexpectedly resemblant Ashton Kutcher. How amazing to think of how one guy in his parents garage back in the 70s has revolutionized the way people live today! He has made possible for the average person things that university-educated scientists said then could not be done. I remember when I was a kid, wishing that, when I talked on the phone with someone, I could see them too, and have a conversation with real-time visual interaction. And now it can be done! And this is just one of the ways that life has changed for our entire civilization because of his contributions to society. What I had not considered before tonight, on a more personal level, is how my own life has been changed. I have never owned an iPhone, an iPod, iPad, or iAnything, for that matter, but... I wonder if Steve Jobs had any idea, when all these these thoughts were floating around his brilliant head, that because of him, lost loves would be found, families would be created, and children would be born... children with potential to change the world, just as he did. See, when my husband found me on social media, after 16 years apart... I was on a Mac. Thank you, Steve Jobs. You wanted to change the world. Mine wouldnt be the same without you.
