Tonight at choir practice we found out we needed to fall back on two of our tried and true anthems for Sundays service. One of them is My Shepherd Will Supply My Need, based on the 23rd Psalm. It is so beautiful and, on this night, so poignant as my family bids farewell to my Aunt Joyce Y. Barnett. I could barely raise my average tenor voice without choking. I can only hope I do this piece justice on Sunday morning, in honor of a great lady. The world gained an angel today ....
