Tonight our Valley of San Fernando conferred two degrees. The 4th and 14th degree conferrals went very smooth and flawless. There were two brethren who received their degrees and we were done by 8:55 pm. Considering the fact that we started at 7:35, voted to pay the bills and made few announcements and opened in short form, it was absolutely a fantastic night for our Valley and for our members, including new brethren. Degrees like these are conferred on personal level where candidates appreciate that one on one and hands on approach. Cast members were proficient in their performances and delivered excellent and perfect degrees under leadership of Ill Sean Foran,33. Illustrious Sean Foran please accept our thanks and gratitude for your hard work and excellent teachings of Scottish Rite Values. If every Valley adopts similar approach to their degrees it will improve retention, attendance and deeper commitment by the membership. We all got complimented by most attendees which as you know does not happen as often as we would love to have in all our Valleys. Membership development and retention starts by having your members show interest, compliment you on the job well done and commitment to participate in these events. Im excited and strongly believe that our Valley is moving forward with strong and firm roots in the ground. Nothing stoping us to move forward with this momentum and developing stronger bonds amongst brethren of our Valley and future candidates who will join San Fernando Valley Scottish Rite.
