Tonight saw the last ever Mass at Our Lady of Consolation. That Church will always have a special place in my heart. It was in that Church that I started to understand my faith more. It was in that Church that I began my journey towards a better relationship with Jesus Christ and it was in that Church that I met many of my best and lifelong friends. The building may not have been the most aesthetically pleasing, but Jesus Christ was truly at work there - as He is in every single Catholic Church universally. The end of this era is a sad one for many of us but at the same time we take away so much more. We take away a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and we allow that to continue throughout our lives knowing that it was truly enhanced by Our Lady of Consolation.
