Tonight summed up everything wrong with this football club. Its the night Ive given up hope and I dont say that lightly. From top to bottom, its a mess. This great club has been ripped apart from the top. The owners dont care, the players have underperformed. Weve shown no style and not enough substance. The manager while saying the right things and been downbeat, this job has taken it out of him clearly. The identity was proven to be gone last night. Robinsons comments the other week remain true. Not particularly about the loan stars alone, but the playing staff have failed in their commitments. The heart and soul that saw us fight bravely in the League Cup and go ten games unbeaten has gone. The current group havent reacted to the distress surrounding the club, like Clark, they seem to be letting it beat them rather than fighting back harder to turn the tide. Clark is getting more downbeat by the week - the job is defeating. Rather than some of the idiotic comments about him not caring, I think he has tried too hard to change our fortunes rather than relax the players. Finding a solution has remained difficult. The truth is - we are not good enough. We dont look like scoring. We look vulnerable everytime the opposition attack. We look vulnerable everytime a player takes possession of the ball. We lack creativity in open play. We cant even find a six foot eight player with a cross from anywhere in and around the box. Yes, Im very much feeling down tonight like many others. I love this club and it hurts like hell to see us where we are. Weve been treated horrendously by people who do not understand the emotion of a football club. Im resigned to relegation now. It may even do us good and unite us together as a club again. Whether Clark stays or not, who knows. Ill continue to stay behind him, though like the players, my faith has waned. I honestly hope we stay up. I just dont see it. Even if we win on Saturday, I feel like the other sides will also win. Keep Right On. - Ryan.
