Tonight was one of the first times I got to sit back and enjoy my choirs and bands and watch them perform. Yes I conducted but I didnt have to try very hard because they just took what they knew and went with it. Sure we had our mistakes but we had many Aha moments (courtesy of my vocal jazz instructor Dr. Alan Gumm) and there were times where we found it. (And for those of you who dont know what I mean by it, I mean that moment where you are completely immersed in the music and just letting it happen). Thank you to all of my music students. I enjoyed myself very much tonight!
