Tonight was so hard, we had to say goodbye to our lovely gentle dog Molly. She had a seizure through the night and went down so fast that da and I had to take her to the vets this evening, It broke my heart. Marley and me had nothing on Molly and me!! I got her when I was 23, my parents were away on holiday and I thought it would be a great idea to buy her after seeing an ad in the gazzette! I named her Molly after a character in a book I was reading. She was a beauty. A golden retriever. When Iain and I got married we nearly had a court case on our hands, lol, my da was desperate to keep her but she belonged to me and she came with us to Laxdale. We had Joshua soon after and it was a life changing event not only for us but for Molly too! She was so good and patient with him, she even guarded him from going up the stairs. To our horror she fell pregnant, she went on to have 9 pups and let me tell you it was quite an adventure with one 6 month old baby, 1 dog and 9 puppies!! wowee! thats another story! we got homes for them all. We then moved to Macrae Place and had our wee Levi and Molly was no bother, my da would nip round every so often and walk her for us. We then moved to Kennedy Terrace and had our wee monster Isaac, she was so happy and content. We then moved next door with ma and da while our house got renovated and had wee Jacob, she was always so relaxed. We then finally moved back next door and made the decision to leave her with ma and da as it was almost her retirement home, plenty off carpet and rugs and peace and quiet!! da took over her then taking her out for walks, Our priority was the boys and with our 5th born we were too busy. Im sure afew of you seen da out walking her, he loved telling people she belonged to him!! hah!! I guess she belonged to us all and Im going to miss her so VERY much. It was 1 big adventure
