Tonight we had a Wrap Up meeting regarding the fund-raising effort for the orphans of Serbia. It was a VERY successful 2nd year and the date for next years fund-raising event for the orphans has been set: February 22, 2015. Easy way to remember, is that its George Washingtons real birthday..... on a Saturday next year. Together, with the money we have raised 2013 +2014, its almost $65,000. Perhaps by NEXT years close, we can say we hit $100,000! Wouldnt that be grand? All the musicians are already lining up... and like Millie Radovick said, It will be the last blast before the fast. Hence the date. Thank you to all who worked so hard to make this happen. Lifeline Chicago is working hard to get shipments out to Serbia because of the floods.... so a small portion of the money from this year will be to help in that area too, putting some projects on hold. But not the mold or roof problems for the orphans there, which are most urgent! Thank you to all who sent in monetary donations via the mail too. What great hearts you have and we thank you! Congratulations to George Topich, and Andy Dokmanovich for co-chairing this, and Andy and Justin Greenwald for coming up with the music idea! Fabulous! And thanks tonight to our dear Jelena who made us a tremendous dinner!
