Tonight while working late in the office, I hear the door open and a young girl walks in. My office is in a rural area and in one of the poorest counties in Michigan. She is nervous but oh so happy I am finally here in the evening to meet her. As I write this I have tears on the keyboard. She wants to come in and volunteer for anything because she is honoring her mom who has had a double mastectomy. Her parents wait in the car while we speak. My heart breaks because of their personal situation. I gave her a T Shirt which was a great surprise. When I walked out and met her parents I immediately went back in and gave mom a KICK Cancer one. I think how hard it is to keep this going, then I believe God sends me angels to remind me of why I do this.
