Tonight will be the last broadcast of The Peoples Mic , hosted by Doug Cunningham. This 1 hour radio program discussed workers issues, and germinated from the 2011 protests at the Wisconsin State Capitol, when there was an actual microphone set up in the Capitol Rotunda for the people to speak freely, regarding their grievances. Despite the fundraising efforts of the program, the show is no longer economically sustainable. So it goes. . . The cancellation of this program is indicative of the difficulty inherent in producing any type of forum; whether it be in print, radio, or television, where the laboring class has a legitimate voice. MSNBC has Morning Joe , and I can guarantee that MSNBC/Meet the Press, has considerably more conservative/Republican guests on their shows, than FOX News, or CNN, has progressive/Democratic guests. All that being said: Why does the moneyed aristocracy spend BILLIONS of dollars, each and every year, to deny the worker a voice in their workplace, & their govt?
