Tonights confrontational drama on Netflix streaming: CARNAGE, directed by Roman Polanski, starring Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz, about two highly civilized couples trying to hash things out after one familys son knocks out two teeth belonging to the other. Everybody is extremely pleasant at first, but the tension builds, and soon the atmosphere in the room is downright cannibalistic. Reilly is particularly fine as a fellow with a nice-guy veneer who gradually shows his true colors. Forced, but a piece of work. (Sigh) Let us not have the Roman Polanski discussion in relation to this, okay?
