Tonights meeting of the McKinley Park Progressive Alliance will focus on disenfranchisement and institutional mockery of democracy by the Chicago Board of Elections. If you live in the 12th ward come and review the hundreds of rejected signatures and so called out of district rulings. Makes your blood boil. Kind of reminds you of the other one party systems around the world. Also we will debate the best approach to the creation of a ward-wide independent precinct organization. Are you for just keeping things the way they are -- MPPA which is strong between Ashland and Western with some weak ties to the folks in Brighton Park and Marshall Square, broadening the organization encompass the whole ward, or is there something in-between like a coalition?
