Tonight’s State of the Union was further proof that President Obama is out of touch with the American people. Tax increases are not the answer; it doesnt grow the economy or create jobs, and fails to address our nation’s $18 trillion debt. We need to focus on cutting spending, and getting our debt under control so we can put our nation back on the path towards prosperity. The burden that federal taxes and the IRS have placed on our families and businesses are one of the reasons I first ran for office. The president needs to listen to the American people and work with Congress to improve job opportunities and empower the middle class.
