Too busy to spend much time on Facebook this past week, and not in - TopicsExpress

Too busy to spend much time on Facebook this past week, and not in the mood for anything even slightly annoying. Other than that, I am fine. Sober, no destructive or self-destructive behaviors whatsoever, eating pretty well, getting along with Emily (and everyone else) pretty well, getting settled in the new apartment and trying out the pool with Emily, getting everything out of the old apartment and cleaning up the mess of the year from hell, trying to get rid of stuff for which I have no room or need, trying to keep car running and it is not making it easy, unclogging the toilet, scrounging under cushions for gas money and having to borrow, trying to get the JAC to pay me, taking Emily to 2 scheduled doctors appointments (on time for one and less than 5 mins late for the other,) getting Emily to school on time mostly and picking her up on time always, spending a day getting a client out of jail who had two charges of criminal contempt of court last week and was sentenced to 9 months in jail but his relatives wrote to the judge that he was sorry and she commuted his sentence this week, but getting the paperwork satisfactory for the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehab Department practically needs an encyclical from the Pope (and he would have to hand deliver 3 certified originals, and all three copies would have to be dark with no faintness at all- even in unimportant form words such as This cause came to be heard - and if the clerk stamped over his name and phone number after he wrote it where they told him to write it, that could be a problem, and if he finally delivered the correct order the following day after the date of release, they might tell him that he has to start over and get a new amended order directing them to release the prisoner today, in which case he would have to just plain refuse saying that his boss ordered the prisoner released yesterday and would not be willing to sign an amended order releasing him a day later just because it took a day to get the correct order to the correct place- a room number in the downtown criminal courthouse that does not appear in the directory and that the information desk personnel believe does not exist- and that such an order would not get back to them until tomorrow, resulting in the same problem tomorrow, and that he would gladly sign a statement that the order arrived a day late so that no one could accuse them of keeping the inmate an extra day, and are they seriously willing to keep an inmate forever when the release order does not arrive on the day of release?!) and breathing in and out, and putting one foot in front of the other. Stuff like that. So if anybody was worried about me, I am doing alright. I have over 40 FB notifications that I have not read yet. But I will.
