Took Rosie (our chiweenie) to the vet today. $200 later, it turns out she is pregnant with five or six puppies. We had Pee Wee fixed, almost a month ago, and had her scheduled to get spayed mid January. She is a year and a half, and due to us both working full time, we never noticed she was in heat, she never bled or anything. I basically had a panic attack in the middle of the vets office, even though he assured me everything is fine. Thankfully Pee Wee is only 6 pounds full grown, and Rosie is 10, so he said thats a really good sign. Does anybody have any advice, I did not expect for this to happen and have never dealt with a pregnant dog before? Our vet was really rushed and cut my questions short, so that is making me freak out even more.
