Top 10 reasons to attend the Winter Orchestra Concert / Midwest Preview Concert THIS Thursday! #10: You get to hear TWO Concerto Grossi by Correlli performed by our incredible Concert Orchestras! #9: Philharmonic Orchestra will be making their FULL ORCHESTRA debut performing works Wagner and Ellington! #8: Midwest Preview Concert will feature incredible guests including Mr. Mike Pote, Director of Carmel H.S. Bands making his debut with the symphony orchestra and our very own Carmel HS Principal Mr. John Williams narrating as President Lincoln! #7: Guest soloist Andre Gaskins (CHS Orch alum!) will inspire us all as he performs Saint-Saens Cello Concerto No. 1 (1st mvt) and John Williams Elegy for Cello and Orchestra. These works will then be performed by internationally acclaimed cellist Lynn Harrell at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago! #6: Our awesome Sinfonia Orchestra will put everyone in the holiday spirits as they perform several pieces inspired by the Holiday season #5: Enjoy refreshments and raffle drawings to raise funds for the orchestras spring performance tour to Austria in between the two concerts! #4: Tickets are only $5 for BOTH concerts!!!!
