Being that it was my first signing, I might of wet myself a little when people recognized who I was and wanted to take pictures with me. I had a Kim Kardashian feeling, but with less booty and no Kanye taunting blind people. 2. Meeting other authors. Umm, hello...youre in a room filled with greatness. It was like absorbing mystical powers from their brains. Like a Dementors kiss from Harry Potter, only with tongue. 3. The food (which was for authors during lunch. Sorry fans) Im a nice Jewish girl. Being a Jew, my life revolves around food. Food can make or break a party. I went to a Bar Mitzvah once and the food was so bad and I reclaimed my $18 dollars I was going to give as a gift and took it to McDonalds instead. Thankfully, this was not the case in this setting. 4. The excellent cause it supported. The money raised to support Autism was astounding. Although, I do hold a small grunge that it wasnt aimed to support the Lucky Clubs need for new stripper poles. (but seriously big cause, big support, big awesomnessl) 5. It was like prom weekend all over again. Except this time I didnt hate my prom date, there was no expectation of losing virginity (pft..long gone) and I didnt have 5 cans of hairspray in my hair. So thank you Rick Miles and Amy Miles for making this weekend so magical for this newbie author.
