Top Kenyan athletes are saying they may consider defecting to other countries if the state goes ahead with plans to tax athletes earnings. Wesley Korir, who won the the Boston City Marathon in 2012, is leading a group of athletes who are furious with the plan. He says that contrary to common belief that they earn huge sums, by the time athletes pay tax in their country of origin, their manager and their agent, they only pocket 15% of their earnings. In a statement the Kenya Revenue Authority said that athletes should pay taxes like other taxpayers. Share your thoughts with us below...
