Top of the morning Facebook! Topic: Light Skin/Dark Skin-Good Hair/Bad Hair How many of you are familiar with the “old brown paper bag test”? Or heard someone say he/she has that “GOOD HAIR”! Back in the day Negros, Blacks, African Americans, were categorized by their complexion. If you werent the color of the old brown paper bag or lighter you were excluded from or not allowed to be part of certain groups. Additionally, if you hair was not naturally silky or straight like a ruler and or even curly you were considered “less than”. Spike Lee illustrated this in his movie School Daze by classifying women as “WANNABEES” or “GIGGABOOS” Do you think this is still prevalent in the Black Social Society today? Just Keepin’ It Real!
