Topaz Internment Camp Do’s and Don’ts Don’ts: 1) Don’t use the phones situated throughout the city except in cases of emergency 2) Don’t believe everything you hear 3) Don’t crawl through the fence. 4) Don’t use the main gate if you are on foot. 5) Don’t move without notifying your block manager. 6) Don’t use WRA cars for unauthorized business. 7) Don’t tamper with US mail. 8) Don’t abuse privileges. 9) Don’t destroy city property. 10) Don’t spread rumors. 11) Don’t keep pet animals outside of dogs and cats. 12) Don’t visit the hospital outside of visiting hours. 13) Don’t neglect the block meetings. 14) Don’t stray beyond the fence before 7 am and after 7pm. 15) Don’t overlook the indefinite leave picture. 16) Don’t forget to put on your porch lights at night 17) Don’t go too close to the fences at night. 18) Don’t touch live or dead game animals. 19) Don’t pour boiling water directly into the laundry tubs. 20) Don’t walk around in the center without a hat (in the summer heat). 21) Don’t waste coal or kindling material. 22) Don’t forget to call for your mail on Saturday afternoons at the post office 23) Don’t forget the roll call every Monday night. 24) Don’t put on two electrical appliances at once. 25) Don’t take lumber without authorization.
