Tour Diary 19th Oct, 2013 Last night we played in a little town on the west coast of Sweden called Falkenberg. We played here last time and it was one of the best gigs of that tour so we were excited to return. Apparently there was over 300 people present last night, twice the amount of that first show so nobody was disappointed. From a singers point of view, there can really be nothing better than looking on at a entire front row of pretty blonde Swedish girls gazing up at you. How far we have come from those first rehearsals at Potashnicks house, but before this turns into an episode of Magnum P.I., lets move on to Uppsala. Its 2pm as I write and were on the road. Its a 6 hour drive and not particularly picturesque. Occasionally, the tedium is broken with a blast of cold air from the front windows whenever one of us lets out a tummy squeak. This is funny to a point but with 4 more hrs to go, Ill get back to you on that. I think were all missing home a bit. The weekend ahead should sort that out as we have arranged a little of home to come to us (stay tuned to events this weekend and youll get the picture). Its a comfort to read messages from Blighty. Jesus. Blighty. Whats happening to me? Ill need to top up that blue face paint. Our own national divisions mean very little when working so hard in foreign parts. Once a Londoner.... The boys are doing well though. Dont worry. Theres a great spirit amongst us and were playing well. Nick and I do a vocal warm up as a ritual. We found some online exercises. Real L.A. style. Last night, dude was showing us how to sing like Bruce Dickenson on Run to the Hills. This is funny to a point, but with 3 more weeks to go, Ill get back to you on that. Phil x
