Toward the end of a Utah Jazz scrimmage on Monday, the teams newest, youngest, shortest player, five-year-old J.P. Gibson who has been battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia since 2012, strode onto the court. He received a standing ovation for his short time on the court, and he even scored a slam dunk – with some assistance from center Rudy Gobert. Gibson realized his dream of JOINING his favorite team thanks to Anything Can Be, a Make a Wish-style project that helps children fighting cancer. We wish him well.
