Trader Steel and Pipes •Interstate travel •Linking domestic customers with overseas suppliers Our client is a large multinational trading company, which in addition to providing traditional trading services is active in broad sectors including; steel, automotive, transport, energy and resources. This is an excellent opportunity for you to work within this well established company as they are continuously working to strengthen their position as a leader in the Steel industry for Metal Pipe, Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) and general Steel project works. Reporting to the General Manager, your critical responsibilities in this role will be to maintain current business whilst establishing new business opportunities in the areas of General Steel, Pipe and OCTG pipe for the petroleum/oil industry and gas industry. You will manage, maintain and coordinate current key accounts and investigate and develop new business opportunities and trends nationally that will contribute to the profitability and continuity of the success of the department. Your will be required to regularly travel nationally and link your domestic customers with overseas suppliers. You will also be required to successfully manage the stock yard with a plan to increase inventory. A wide appreciation of business functions, strong problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be involved in trading negotiations, preparing contracts, proposals and service agreements, analysing and forecasting the market and identifying potential new business opportunities. Degree qualified (preferably within the International trade sphere) and experience managing the full cycle of sales, business development, trading and project management highly desirable. Your collaborative approach and ability to work with senior management in assessing risks and opportunities essential; along with an understanding of Japanese trade and cross-cultural communication. •Divers license essential.
