Traffic never stops on Goodman Road. Five lane highway with a 55 mph speed limit. If traffic is at a stop, it means theres been an accident bad enough nobody can get through. Im on my way to storage. Funeral Cop tops the hill. I dont know who has passed, but what a tribute to their life! I bet there was 50 cars in the lineup . And every car on Goodman Road pulled over and stopped to pay their respect. In a day and time when people let how busy their lives are rule where their priorities are, I have lost a good bit of faith in the general populace of my fellow man. Today, however, a little bit of that was returned to me. The guy showing his respect directly behind me on the emergency strip was driving an 18 wheeler. As Im sitting on the side of the road, tears freely flowing for this family I didnt know, my heart both hurt and warmed at the thought I am NOT alone. My value system may not B the exception to the rule as much as I thought it was. My heart and prayers go out to the family involved. I dont know you, but I hope this show on Goodman Road offered you some level of comfort in your painful time.
