Tragically we lost another of our dance family this weekend at a large competitive event. Although CPR was in progress the hotel security could not locate the AED. One more reminder that perhaps organizers should consider having one in the ballroom and not relying on the hotels to have one at hand. At the very least we can individually make sure we all know where the EAD is by securing that information upon check in. Every minute that goes without treatment, after a cardiac arrest due to ventricular fibrillation, reduces the patients chances of survival by 10%.
