Trainer Spotlight! Learn a little about Signal Hill trainer Mike! This hard working guy is so devoted to his clients- take one class and you can see how much he cares- also to get your ass whooped! He also makes amazing paleo recipes and has an adorable little girl that is a beast-in-training :) 1. Whats your favorite part about working for HDX Fit? My favorite part of working for HDX is the students and bettering them. Really makes me feel accomplished when I push someone and help them to reach goals or lift weights they never thought possible. Ive had students tell me before that HDX and me changed their life and that is really the best feeling for me. Changing someones life for the better is what its all about. 2. What is your favorite and least favorite bootcamp exercise? My favorite workout is RDLs. Deadlifts have always been my best and favorite lift and doing the RDLs have only helped my form and overall strength for deadlifts. My least favorite are glute bridge pullover because I have a damaged shoulder and thats one move that really causes pain so I have to do them very light and I feel like I suck going that light. 3. Who do you think would win in a fight- Stu or Huw? I think Id have to give that one to huw. Stu knows some stuff but so does Huw. At the end of the day just look at Huw, hes a monster and I dont think him attacking fighting anyone would be good for the other person. Thats a big boy. 4. What is one goal you committed to and succeeded? A goal I had was to build up the long beach gym and build a good community there. I havent gotten it to where I want it but I couldnt be happier with where the gym is now and how great of a group we have and the community. 5. What is your favorite cheat meal? Thats a hard one. I have too many. But a burger from Plan Check never fails. 6. Where is your favorite place you have ever traveled to? Favorite place Ive traveled to so far had to be Mexico City. Mostly because thats where I have a lot of family I dont see often. But the history there and the places you could see such as the churches or pyramids are amazing. 7. What gets you pumped to work out when you just dont feel like it? What gets me pumped to work out is a couple of my friends. They talk a lot of shit so every time I dont feel like it I think of all the comments and jokes Ill hear.
