Training Associate: (National position) Location Name : Yangon, Myanmar Duration : 16 months, with the possibility for extension depending on performance and funding. Building Markets flagship initiative, the Sustainable Marketplace Initiative, provides a suite of services proven to catalyze economic growth and to create, restore, and sustain livelihoods. To date, these projects have redirected over $1 billion into developing economies. Project Context Building Markets contribute to private sector development by linking international, regional and national buyers with capable local entrepreneurs. Building Markets is operating in Yangon since 2012 and has already profiled more than 1,000 businesses in Myanmar, helping hundreds local SMEs to find new clients and get new contracts We are seeking resourceful and motivated staff , interested in private sector development, to participate to our programme expansion over the next 2 years. A project funded by Position Overview Training Associate. The Training Associate is responsible for designing, piloting and monitoring a comprehensive and targeted training programme for Small And Medium size companies, including a set of Business Development trainings, a set of Financial Management training, and CSR information sessions. The Training Associateis directly accountable for achievements and results of the training programme. The position would require travels to Mandalay and Mawlamyine. Responsibilities and Duties Tasks for this position include, but are not limited to the following: Participate in designing a one year capacity building curriculum, together with external partners (trainers, consultants, training content providers, etc.) Identify and coordinate external resources to produce training mat erials, and organize regular training sessions. Recruit training participants according to the targets. Elaborate the tools and trackers necessary for impact measurement, and monitor the progress (training. survey, data entry and reporting) Coordinate CSR information campaign and deliver regular information sessions on CSR. Collaborate closely with the Business Relationship team and the other departments Required qualifications, skills and experience. Minimum of a Bachelor degree in education, business or equivalent Preferably an experienced business person, or professional trainer with solid experience in business / entrepreneurship training Perfect Burmese language; Solid English skills both written and oral Excellent interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; very good analytical and problem solving skills Solid understanding of Myanmar business environment and motivation to promote private sector development in Myanmar Entrepreneurial and resourceful attitude If you meet these qualifications, please send the following, attached in an email to [email protected]: 1.
