Transformers is looking for “Operation Manager” for one of our client. The ideal candidate must perform the following duties: Job Responsibilities: • Ensure a supportive environment and a workplace that challenges, inspires and creates the conditions conducive to learning. • Day to day management of workshop staff and maintenance personnel • Assist in the planning, designing and delivering of new products and services. • Manage quality issues in all aspects of production, workshop operation in line with codes of practice and COMPANY ethos. • Maintenance of all workshop machinery, equipment, tools, fixings, PPE and similar goods within a budget. Maintain up to date records of equipment and machinery. • Oversee production of orders and services, and ensure the accurate and timely completion of them in collaboration with workshop personnel. • Provide a well-run and maintained workshop including building maintenance and other issues in relation to the management of the workshop • Establish and implement effective housekeeping and workshop management systems such as stock control. • Source and arrange for supply of materials and cost-effective use of materials and equipment in the workplace. • Establish and maintain clear systems for receipts and dispatch of goods with regard to H&S. • Continue the ongoing development of the Workshop facility. Health and Safety Ensure a safe working environment by leading on the implementation of Health and Safety policy, systems and procedures. Develop and deliver work methods and standards that will ensure health and safety legislation is complied with. Undertake duties in relation to fire safety, as set out in the H&S Policy including upkeep of a Fire Safety Plan. Ensure that all persons are aware of safety procedures and embed a strong organizational culture - seeking to develop a positive attitude to health and safety among staff, visitors and participants. Establish that all equipment, plant and substances used are suitable for the task and are kept in good working condition; this includes the regular maintenance and servicing of equipment Provide adequate training, information, instruction and supervision to ensure that work is conducted safely Take immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to health and safety arising from the work activity; Attend regular H&S committee in accordance with the H&S policy Ensure that there are adequate emergency proceedings in place at all times. Weekly inspection tours of workshop premises and overseeing quarterly inspection tours of operations. Undertake day to day duties including organizing; fire drills, risk assessments, electrical safety, VDU safety, safe carrying of loads, and other duties as laid out in the H&S Policy under H&S Officer job description. Carry out and keep accurate records of all health and safety procedures and maintenance in the Workshop. Supervision To ensure that all participants and volunteers in the Workshop have adequate supervision in their assigned tasks, health and safety procedures, and inductions appropriate to their activities. Support the participant program and manage appropriate trainees to enhance capacity within the workshop. To oversee the production of a range of products and maintenance activities that can be made with the involvement of trainees & subcontractors To be proactive and encouraging in giving participants and volunteers opportunities for personal development and skills acquisition; Recruit, train and manage appropriate trainees to enhance staff capacity within the workshop. Encourage the participation of participants and trainees in wider learning opportunities arising from activities General Duties Attend relevant internal and external meetings and provide reports to the Workshop Manager as required. Oversee security issues within the workshop and establish systems in support of this. Develop and maintain accurate records pertinent to the running of an efficient department. Support the Workshop Manager in the overall management and development of workshop activities and services. Operate within the scope of COMPANY policies and the national law/government regulations. Actively pursue personal development and training opportunities. Undertake any other duties as consistent with the job. Operate at all times in keeping with the values of COMPANY where the emphasis is on collaboration, participation and respect – empowering individuals to contribute their best. Ensure the department is active in the cost effective use of resources. Gender: Male Skills Required: Experience: Minimum (10-15) years’ experience in manufacturing plants, Service Industries, Industry experience (technical services companies) will be beneficial with hands on experience in processes like machining, fabrication, welding, repair, and overhaul and testing 5 years’ experience in valve repair Location: Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia Qualifications: Completion of a minimum of secondary vocational diploma in electrical engineering and must have sound knowledge of industrial electrical works, wiring diagrams, load calculations, and installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
