Transforming Grace: John 1 The Fullness of Grace and Truth WHY JOHNS GOSPEL WAS WRITTEN *Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but THESE ARE WRITTEN so that you may BELIEVE that JESUS is the Christ, the Son of God, and that BY BELIEVING you may HAVE LIFE in his name. (John 20:30, 31 ESV) John made it clear why this gospel was written, all that Jesus ever did, said and how He lived was for the purpose of believing and receiving life, throughout this gospel, we see this theme over and over, this shows us the heart of the Father, whose grace, glory and love made it possible for man to be restored to an intimate relationship with Him through the Beloved Son. THE WITNESS * In him ( Jesus ) was life, and the life was the light of men. He ( John the Baptist ) came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might BELIEVE through him. (John 1:4, 7 ESV) It is also clear that all servants of God were chosen to primarily point to the Greater One, the Source of life and as we believe Jesus, His life becomes our guide to living. THE MANIFEST GLORY OF JESUS * And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14 ESV) Oh, amazing grace, This Jesus, the one they testified to, is the Only Beloved Son of God, full of Grace and Truth, out of His fullness, we receive grace upon grace, blessing upon blessing, like waves from the sea touching the shore, endless, abounding, for the lives of those who believed get connected to the Father. CHILDREN OF GOD * But to all who did receive him, who BELIEVED in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, (John 1:12 ESV) Beloved believers, thats who we are in Christ Jesus, beloved children, recipients of grace upon grace, from Salvation to Daily experience of ALL that He has planned purposed and prepared for us to the Glory of His Son, Hallelujah! * For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 ESV)
