Travel Tip of the Day: All civilians traveling on a passport, family members, retired military, and others may return to the CONUS only through authorized ports of entry where customs and immigration clearance is available. While you are allowed to depart the CONUS literally from any military airfield, reentry locations for passport holders are somewhat limited. Some ports are only able to process U.S passports while others are able to accept Green Card holders also. Active duty passengers who do not require immigration clearance have more reentry options available. Arriving at Mildenhall, passport information is faxed to our Border Control for clearance, this process normally take around 20 min. On occasion due to the fact the information is sent to a working port the process sometimes can take longer, however it does make it possible for us to process passengers into the UK seven days a week including most British Public Holidays.
