Travel between BVI and USVI August 2, 2014 @ 1:20pm Dear Tourism Industry and Visitors to the BVI: The United States Virgin Islands (USVI) Ports Authority has informed The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board that the ports in St. Thomas continue to remain closed. They have advised us that an update on ferry and terminal operations will be provided after 12:00pm today. It is recommended that travelers who are scheduled to travel between the British Virgin Islands and the USVI continue to stay abreast of the weather. For travelers who are scheduled to depart on flights, it is advised that you place an inquiry with your airline to see if you can be reassigned to a different flight departing from St. Thomas within the next 24 hours. Additionally, it is also advised that you make an inquiry with your current accommodations (property) to see if arrangements can be made for you to remain on the property for the next 24 hours if needed. The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board will provide you with updates upon receipt from the USVI Ports Authority. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
