Traveled into the desert outside of Jericho to get out of Hebron for a day and visited the Tomb of Moses. I was completely humbled by the vastness of the desert and awed by its silence. I recited Surah Fatihah in tajwid in one of the vaulted ceilings of the stone rooms on upper level of the ancient and deserted complex, and ran as fast as I could up a hill to a small outbuilding on a nearby hill in the blazing heat. This is one of the most amazing landscapes I have ever seen. Palestine continues to leave me at a loss for adequate words to describe this land. It is indescribably beautiful.
