Traveling in places like South Sudan, Uganda and the Congo have me more at ease than returning to the USA and having to visit the NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT). Although I had in hand an Austrian drivers license which was issued for life despite the reality I was not required to take any test (written nor driving) and I couldnt even speak the language, to have my driving privilege reinstated here at home, well I had to take not only the eye test and written test but also the driving test to get my North Carolina license. I am happy to report that after countless hours reading the drivers handbook and taking online test tests I passed with flying colors. Next up, its Ginas turn to navigate the process. Lets wish her luck..
