Tree of Love (Aichryson laxum) is a pretty rare species in culture - TopicsExpress

Tree of Love (Aichryson laxum) is a pretty rare species in culture may be because of its potential short life. It tends to behave like an annual or biennial. This plant may die after flowering – but by no means always. However, before dieing, the plant will produce volunteer seedling around itself after flowering. In wild this plants form small populations along woods or sheltered by cliffs with its roots embedded on the crevices of volcanic rocks. It is a wonderful succulent plant with an amazing adaptation to protect itself from the harsh ray of sun: the leaves are very hairy.
