Trending today The hostage situation at the #Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi has ended with the current death toll at 72 with authorities noting many are still reported missing. The terrorist attack has trended strongly since it began on Saturday and is understandably still the main twitter subject in Kenya. Twitter is now a standard part of main news organisations reporting of stories and much of the conversations around the story came from these sources. Police authorities in Kenya also use social media for updating the public on their work, they have tweeted frequently during the last four days.
