Trevion was diagnosed with Stage 2 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that develops in the skeletal muscles (muscles that allow us to move, e.g. legs, arms, face, neck, etc.) in May 2013. Two weeks later he began chemotherapy treatment, which lasted 40+ weeks. This handsome little man completed 14 rounds of chemo, 6 weeks of radiation, and 4 surgeries. Mom would drive him 3-1/2 hours from Louisiana to Houston, where the experts at MD Anderson Cancer Center treated him. When Trevion lost his hair, mom said her “quirky kid” told the doctors that he didn’t want it to grow back. :) Mom also told us that Tre played in his church basketball league throughout his treatment, missing only 2 games, and on March 24th doctors declared him NED (no evidence of disease). YAY! Since then, they’ve since moved back to their hometown in Missouri where Tre’s been enjoying everything from t-ball to swimming to karate and more. That move, however, made the drive to MD Anderson a lot tougher. So Plan B was put into action and they just returned home on a miracle flight from Houston, where Tre had his first follow-up appointment. The results … clean! Another Day, Another Miracle
