Tributes from British High Commissioner to Ghana, Mr. Peter Jones ... The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Mr. Peter Jones, has joined the sea of mourners to eulogise the BBC and Joy FM’s Komla Dumor who died suddenly on Saturday. He rephrased President John Mahama’s tribute that Ghana has lost a “wonderful ambassador.” Signing the Book of Condolence opened at Joy FM in honour of the late former host of the Super Morning Show, Mr. Jones, said “I want to join Komla’s colleagues, family and friends in expressing deep sympathy and grief on his passing.” He added that “The world is a poorer place without him and Ghana has lost a wonderful ambassador.” After the signing the Book of Condolence, the British High Commissioner proceeded to the Joy FM studios where he joined others who were sharing their experiences working with the late iconic broadcaster. He said the media coverage of Komla’s death showed clearly that he was loved by many across geographical borders. “It is not often that you meet people who have such universal impact and are respected and admired by everybody but Komla was clearly one of them,” he stated. -
