Trip - Late afternoon of 8/21. The Bivonas from Hunterdon County. Matt (D), Melissa (M), Abby (7), Will (5) and Mason (3 mos). Dad recalled going crabbing when he was younger and getting 1 crab. Gotta love it when bar is set that low. Perfect day on the water for them - cool temps, calm water and high tide. And we caught em up. Probably pulled up 80 or so and left with 44 (maybe 46, I lost count when an old friend met us at the dock on the way in). This was their first time in Ocean City and they found it to be a great family friendly place. Abby was hesitant at first to crab all by herself, but eventually got into it. Will was great at keeping traps from getting pulled into the boat and keeping the captain in line. (I think he threatened a mutiny but thought better of it because if I give up my boat I am taking the keys with me). And Mason is not much of a crabber yet, but I am not worried - he has the next 18 years or so to get the hang of it. At least he has the appropriate clothing. However he will get no special treatment just because we share the same hairstyle.
