Trip advisor review of the Week (Trip advisor member ali2505) “Absolutely fantastic!” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW We arrived back today from the HV Aliathon and had an absolutely brilliant time from start to finish. We travelled with our 2 children aged 8 and 6 years. The eldest did the swim academy and learnt to swim without armbands! Big thanks to Dieter and Hannah who did an amazing job. All the reps are so friendly and work tirelessly morning noon and night. The food was lovely - I really cannot understand how people can complain about it! We did not expect Michelin starred fine dining, but hope for a good selection, of good quality - and thats what we got! There is a chef cooking a fresh selection of grilled meats, a pasta, chilli, fish section and vegetarian options, a great kids corner with the usual nuggets, pizza, pasta etc and loads of different salads. I liked the fact they have dressed salads or just a plain selection of tomatoes, carrot, cucumber, pepper etc if you want a simple salad and wish to add your own dressing. You also get vouchers for money off two restaurants - we went for Monti Mare Italian - One of the best meals ever! Husband went for fillet steak cooked in Barolo wine (most expensive thing on the menu of course! haha) and it was to die for and massive!! On top of that you can have a free meal at the Mexican and the Greek restaurant! As others have said, if you cant find something you like out of that lot on an all-inclusive family hol, maybe just take your kids to the Dorchester next year! We were in the Aegean side which worried us a bit as reviews had said stay in the Fishing side as thats where the action is, but we actually preferred the laid back vibe around the lagoon pool, which was still great for kids, with the sloping shallow lagoon part, great bar (thanks Alex!) and then we could dip in and out of the fishing side when we wanted - if you do stay in the fishing side, do try the Aegean part as you may be missing out if you think that side is too quiet - its relaxing and lovely! Also thanks to the hotel staff who couldnt be friendlier - the manager was even outside to see us onto the coach and thank us for coming - we will be back Aliathon!!!! The Day family, Crawley
