Tristan called this morning and I just happened to be on my break, and I talked to him for 19 minutes! Hes doing well and sounded waaay too excited to have received his gas mask with prescription eyepiece in it. I dont think the Army knows what theyve done. Anyway, I asked if hes staying hydrated, and he said they gave them all Camelpaks (jealous!) and that one kid already passed out, and the drill Sargent made everyone else afraid to pass out after that. No address yet to write to him, but we will be able to send him care packages. However, no sweets or goodies because the DIs will just eat them in front of them while they do push-ups while reading the packages out loud. Because if your family is going to send you food that keeps you chubby, we will use it to do the opposite!! Bahahahaha!!
